These sweet little snowballs are so incredibly cute! Another one of my favorite air plants. Their fuzzy little arms grow into a ball shape and are seriously adorable.
The leaves are super fuzzy and covered in 'trichomes' which in its natural habitat, absorb nutrients in the air and water, and protect its 'skin' underneath from harsh sunlight. These babies look very delicate, but are in fact very easy to care for. Rather than soaking, they prefer a light misting 1-2 times per week. They also thrive in bright, and even direct light.
*I recommend pairing these with the hanging hammocks. The also look gorgeous on a piece of cholla wood.
Tectorum care recommendations:
Do not soak, just mist 1-3 times a week
- In general, the hotter/drier it is, the more often it needs to be misted
- The Tectorum does well in very bright or direct sunlight.
